Bernard has been involved in Growth SME Businesses as both an owner in; Training, Security, CRM &, Marketing Consultancy, CCTV, Bars, Restaurants, Hotels, Ski Chalets, Travel Agents , Manufacturing and as a Coach, Advisor and Mentor for business’ such as; Low Carbon Consultancies, LED lighting companies, Digital Locks, Subsea Turbine, Solar PV installers, E-Vehicle couriers, Waste Management, App developers, Digital Marketing , Video Production, Recruitment, Retail Outlets, Printing and Asset Management just to name a ‘few’ of the 100+ business he has worked with during the last 30 years.

Bernard is an APM – Accredited Practitioner Mentor with the International Authority for Professional Coaching and Mentoring, an Approved Expert for the EIC (European Innovation Council) and in 2015 became a Fellow of the Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs FIOEE. He is also a Volunteer Mentor for young people who are looking to start their own businesses, including on behalf of: the Brightside Trust, Start Up Loans, Entrepreneurial Spark and the Prince's Trust .

His claims to fame are all stuck in the far distant past, as he says he ''peaked early'' but : he was a published poet at 11, played Badminton for his country at U16 and won county honours, at U18 level in Football, Cricket and Athletics

Experience

Bernard has also had ‘proper jobs’ ; initially in IT as a Business Analyst and Project /Programme Manager then a Senior management and Director level career in large companies in Retail, Technology, Consultancy and Investment Management, delivering multi-million pound projects and business change programmes for names such as; National Power, River Island, and as Head of UK Retail Operations with Gartmore Investment Management and Head of Microsoft UK Business Operations responsible for their $1Bn Business Plan.

Bernard has been Coaching, Advising, Consulting and Mentoring for more than 20 years.

And has delivered; Innovation, business growth mentoring support contracts for the European Union Innovation Council, Brighton University, Devon County Council and Nottingham Trent University.

He has established and operated a number of his own businesses too, including: CRM Business Consultancy, CCTV Installation, Security and Training Services, most recently as an Electronics Manufacturer currently exporting to 12 Countries with their multi award winning and patented Dynamic Exit sign.

After a few disgruntled years at Microsoft, as Head of Operations in the UK, he set up business in France and spent 8 years Operating his own Hotels, Chalets, Restaurants, and Bars in France, with a bit of Ski Hosting thrown in.
